Here are the various workouts planned for the 10th week of the summer program:
Walk/Run – 5:45PM – walk 1 min, jog 5 min, repeat 6 times for a total of 36 mins.
Basic Running – 5:45PM – 60 mins+ mix of brisk walking, jogging, running & sprinting.
Running & Racing – 6:00PM – 15-20mins (~2mi) easy jog around high school grounds, return to track, then pick ups of 6-8 x 2 mins with walking/regrouping recoveries of ~equal time, then 4 x 15-20 sec pick-ups, w/~60 secs walking recovery, then cool-down around the grounds. Recommended pace for 2 min pick-ups is 2 mi – 5K race pace.
